Seeing Spartanburg in a New Light

White Elephant is extremely proud to be the sole documentary film partner for the two-year “Seeing Spartanburg in a New Light” public art project, supported by Bloomberg Philanthropies and Chapman Cultural Center.  White Elephant was also the lead in creating the project’s largest scale exhibit: “Video Village” where more than 20 partners came together to assist the residents of the Highland community in making a series of documentary videos on a never-before-attempted 52-video screen installation in 11 abandoned public housing project buildings in Spartanburg.  This technological feat was accomplished with the help of Hub-Ology and its Founder, Brian Painter, along with key partners: Spartanburg Art Museum, USC Upstate, Wofford College and the City of Spartanburg.
