The Walking Hosptial follows a group of practitioners who bring a unique form of Chinese medicine to remote regions of the world—stretching medicine’s possibilities, confronting its limitations, and offering alternatives in healing.

The goal of the WALKING HOSPITAL project is to examine an array of regions with unique needs and diverse cultures. The documentary begins in Mustang, Nepal, in the foothills of the Himalayas, where isolated villagers receive medical care — many for the first time. The film segues to Upper Mustang in Nepal where a punishing trek leads the practitioners to one of the world’s most forbidding regions.
